Brush Stroke of Genius: TDN’S All-New Art Series ‘Commissioned’ Coming May 9

Published May 8, 2020

The Design Network announced today the brand-new series COMMISSIONED, celebrating the journey of the artist, and the process and technique behind creating a commissioned piece of artwork for the home. The first season of this five-episode series takes place in Seattle, Washington – where the tone of its artists, creating pieces infused with the mystique of the Pacific Northwest, is distinct from anywhere else in the country. COMMISSIONED premieres on The Design Network on May 9 at 8pm EST.

“Commissioned is absolutely stunning – our modern day take on the beloved painter Bob Ross,” said Jason Harris, Founder of The Design Network. “The series was inspired by my daughters who are artists, and it is one of the most cinematic series our network has ever produced. I hope it will be a bright spot of positivity in a challenging time, as art so often has the power to be.”

COMMISSIONED is the latest series in an incredible original slate handcrafted by The Design Network’s innovative team – created with a ‘digital-first’ perspective for a new generation of Streaming TV.
